Swedish Wood Carving

“The best tools that anyone can have, are the skills in your hands and the knowledge in your head”

This subject is truly addictive, once you have learnt the skills and knowledge of Swedish wood carving, you will never see a piece of wood in the same way.

You will learn how to correctly and safely use just a knife and saw to manufacture a range of beautiful and useful objects. You will also be shown how to select the best woods and how to care for and sharpen a high quality knife that you get to keep.

We shall soon be announcing new courses for the Autumn and Winter, as well a series of new workshops and other courses for 2009.

Advanced Swedish Wood Carving


The advanced course will build on and add to the techniques learnt on the previous course. We shall show you new carving methods that can only be taught once the basic techniques have been acquired. You will also learn how to carve more intricate and larger objects.
