“The ability to make
fire by friction is a skill that amazes people no matter how many times
it is seen or done”
This weekend course,
will give you a great grounding in the use of the bow-drill method of
making fire by friction. You will manufacture your own bow-drill set and
then get down to the job of making fire.
Our vastly experienced instructors, will guide you through each process
and show you what really works and what does not, this will therefore
dispelling many myths that are linked to this method of fire-lighting.

Fire-lighting

Making fire is the single most important skill in bushcraft. There are many different ways in which we can make fire, some of these
methods are effective and some are not.
We shall give you an insight into the many methods of safely making
fire, and how to manage a fire site and use fire correctly. You will
also learn how to
leave a fire site with no trace.
